Why is varieties alcohol addictive? side I’ve effects read kratom the top ten listings on Google that attempt to explain why alcohol is addictive. but I’m not really satisfied with the answers.
There are a lot of spurious theories out there on the internet. Here are some of the reasons given by so-called ‘experts’ on why alcohol is addictive:
It’s addictive because it helps us forget our problems and feel better about ourselves
Because it will gives a person the confidence they wouldn’t have normally
Because it’s an acceptable social activity
But why is alcohol addictive?
These explanations highlight the effects of alcohol, but do not explain the root-cause of addiction. I’ve met alcoholics that have had kidney and liver failure. The doctor in the emergency room managed to prevent them from dying by giving them a blood transfusion. When they got out of hospital, the first thing they did was to buy a 1-litre bottle of vodka. Don’t try to tell me this was due to improving their social confidence.
Why would somebody do this? They knew this could kill them, but they did it anyway. What drives people to these levels of crazy behaviour? It’s because they have an addiction they cannot control. It’s nothing to do with a rational decision.
Why do you keep drinking?
Ethanol in the Alcohol is not addictive. so what’s the issue then? It’s the effect that it has on our internal systems. To understand what’s going on, we must look at the effects of alcohol once it enters our body.
When we drink alcohol, a small gland in our brain releases an opiate-like substance called endorphins. The morphine-like opiate Endorphin is very similar in chemical structure to Heroin, also an Opiate, so you can understand where the addiction comes from.
Indeed, the word Endorphin means a morphine-like substance originating from within the body. This feel good chemical is released every time we drink. The more you drink, the more endorphins are released.
Why is alcohol addictive for some people?
We all know somebody that is unable to stop after 3 or 4 drinks. I absolutely fall into this grouping. We also know some body that can eat absolute crap – the worst varieties side effects of kratom junk food imaginable and stay skinny. I’m unfortunately not in this grouping.
What’s the similarity between the two groups above? Genetics.
Some people can eat crap all day and stay thin; others have a genetic disposition which means they release more endorphins every time they drink. This doesn’t make them an alcoholic, but it increases the chance of becoming addicted to the endorphins. You can see that it’s not an excuse, but some people can’t help becoming an alcoholic; you must recognise that most people don’t choose to screw up their lives and become an alcoholic.
Why don’t they just stop drinking?
If you’ve read this far, you can understand that it’s very difficult varieties for side an effects addict kratom to simply stop. A logical person may say, Why don’t you just stop? But it’s not that easy. They are addicted to the opiate like endorphins that get released when they drink. This is why people will continue to drink even when the consequences are absolutely terrible.
